In today's headlines:
- Shelton City Council advanced a resolution to put the Transportation Benefit District renewal on the November 3rd ballot, with a one-tenth of one percent sales tax increase for street maintenance heading to the July 21st action agenda.
- More than a dozen residents spoke on food truck regulations and the Mason Food Court, prompting council members to schedule a study session for July 14th.
- The Shelton School Board heard a lengthy budget presentation showing the district running lean, though third grade reading scores jumped to 47 percent and Shelton now has the highest literacy growth rate in the state.
- Another nice one today with a high near 77, and upper 70s to low 80s heading into the weekend.
