In today's headlines:
- Mason County's Economic Development Council landed a USDA Farmers Market Promotion Program grant worth nearly $375,000 over three years to support expanding farmers markets in Shelton and Belfair.
- The EDC also secured a University of Washington grant fellow for a two-year position helping ports in Mason and Pacific counties with infrastructure planning and long-term sustainability.
- Fire Marshal Randy Collins previewed updates to Mason County's burn ordinance — the first rewrite since 1995 — with a public hearing tentatively set for May 26th.

On today's schedule, North Mason softball hosts Sequim and North Mason baseball hosts Bremerton.
